Welcome to John Best Artistic Creations! I'm John Best, a watercolor artist based in Oklahoma with a lifelong love for painting. For many years, I worked in oils and acrylics, capturing the world around me through bold strokes and vibrant color. But about five years ago, I discovered watercolor through the work of David Rogers—and everything changed. The softness, spontaneity, and gentle unpredictability of watercolor spoke to something deep within me.

Now, I paint almost exclusively in watercolor, drawing inspiration from the quiet beauty of nature. Whether it's a sunlit field, a winding stream, or the subtle textures of weathered stone, I aim to capture those fleeting, peaceful moments that often go unnoticed.

Each piece I create is a reflection of where I am, what I feel, and the joy I find in the natural world. My hope is that my art brings a sense of calm, wonder, and connection to your space, just as creating it brings those feelings to me.
