These Terms of Sale apply to purchases made through johnbestart.com, operated by John Best Artistic Creations. By purchasing artwork from this website, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Original Artwork
Original watercolor paintings are one-of-a-kind works created and signed by John Best. Ownership of the physical artwork transfers to the buyer upon purchase; however, copyright and reproduction rights remain with the artist.
This means the artist retains the right to reproduce the artwork in prints, publications, or other media unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Fine Art Prints
Fine art prints are high-quality giclée reproductions of original watercolor paintings. Limited edition prints are produced in a fixed quantity and may be signed and numbered by the artist. Open edition prints are not limited in quantity.
Prints are produced using archival inks and fine art paper designed for long-term durability when properly framed and displayed.
Pricing
All prices listed on the website are in U.S. dollars (USD) and are subject to change without notice. Applicable sales tax may be added at checkout where required by law.
Payment
Payment must be completed at the time of purchase through the website’s secure checkout system. Orders will not be processed until payment has been received.
Shipping
Artwork is carefully packaged to ensure safe delivery.
Smaller works may ship flat
Larger pieces may ship rolled in protective tubes
Orders are shipped via USPS or UPS with tracking, and insurance may be included for higher-value artwork.
Shipping times may vary depending on location and order volume.
Framing
Unless otherwise stated, artwork and prints are typically sold unframed. This helps reduce shipping costs and allows collectors to choose framing that suits their space and personal style.
Returns and Exchanges
Due to the nature of fine art, all sales are considered final.
If artwork arrives damaged during shipping, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and provide photographs of the damage so we can arrange a replacement or appropriate resolution.
Certificates of Authenticity
Original paintings and limited edition prints may include a Certificate of Authenticity verifying the artwork was created by the artist.
Artwork Care
Watercolor paintings and fine art prints should be framed using acid-free materials and UV-protective glass or acrylic. Artwork should be kept out of direct sunlight and high humidity to preserve color and longevity.
