Standing proudly along Oklahoma’s historic Route 66, the Arcadia Round Barn has welcomed generations of travelers making their way down the Mother Road. Its weathered red walls and unmistakable round roof are reminders of a time when the journey was every bit as important as the destination.
In this watercolor, I wanted to capture more than this familiar Oklahoma landmark. The sunlit path, summer grasses, American flag, and brilliant blue sky reflect the feeling of discovering a piece of history still very much alive.
Arcadia Round Barn celebrates the places that endure—the landmarks we remember, the roads that connect us, and the simple pleasure of seeing something familiar waiting just around the bend.
