Ghosts of Route 66

$720.00

Original Watercolor Painting

16 X 20

In Ghosts of Route 66, I imagined one of those long-forgotten service stations standing silently beside the highway. The old pickup remains nearby, as if waiting for one more traveler to pull in for fuel, directions, or a friendly conversation. Sunlight breaking through the clouds became an important part of the story for me. It reminds us that while the crowds have moved on, the spirit of the Mother Road still shines through the places that remain.

As an artist, I'm drawn to subjects that carry the fingerprints of history. Every weathered building, forgotten vehicle, and quiet roadside stop makes me wonder about the people who passed through, the stories they left behind, and the memories that still linger there. My hope is that Ghosts of Route 66 encourages you to imagine one of those stories for yourself.
